How to find Pokémon cameos in card artwork

Create a cameo collection with clear inclusion rules, exact card references, and attention to source notes.

Decide what an appearance means

A Pokémon can appear as a character, a toy, a balloon, a picture, or a silhouette. Decide which representations count before building your checklist. A stamp over the illustration is different from a character participating in the illustrated scene.

Search beyond printed names

Use Prism Pro’s searchable cameo selector to choose a Pokémon. Read source attribution and notes on the results, then enlarge the artwork to inspect the appearance. Cameo coverage depends on the indexed sources and catalog mapping; an empty result does not establish that no cameo exists.

Keep a reproducible checklist

Record the card name, set, collector number, and representation type for each selection. Avoid presenting a starter collection as an exhaustive list. Pikachu Was Here offers three concrete examples to begin with, including Glaceon VMAX from Evolving Skies.
